Patricia ... First off 'Thank You' for your part in designing 'Connections', I've used it for many blog design starters. Great design on both your and Sadish's account!

But the main reason for this comment comes from the final word in your 'bio': synesthete.

I was remotely familiar with the word - I could remember hearing of it - but was not at all totally sure of it's meaning. I took the link to Wikipedia and read it. Amazing!

I have known a couple of people who are also synesthetic - but who didn't refer to themselves with that word. They called themselves 'color sensitive'. So, I guess they were.

Neither were artists. One was a math whiz and the other was a physicist.

For me, MATH is a 4-letter word! You know, in the category of the 4-letter words mom said 'never to say'! ". ) As for physics, I understand the principles and theory, but forget the proofing: that's, again, MATH! ". )

I worked with both of these people while working at the University of Kentucky (in the '70s). Both were very accomplished professors in their fields. After reading about Synesthesia, I am not surprised! Truly amazing.

If it's not too prying, I would be very interested in hearing as to how your synesthesia helps you ... or not.

Thank you again for your efforts on Connections and best of success (continued!) on your professional efforts...

les

PS... for a note of interest, I 'happend upon' your bio while working on the transfer of a blog (one of many!) using the Free WordPress 'souped up version' of 1.0 Connections, called, Beyond The Ripples, to a Hosted WordPress account w/regular Connections 1.0; I was hoping V2 was ready.. ?? The tag line for Beyond The Ripples is, "... serendipitous encounters from eclectic online journeys." Once again BTR uncovers, totally by chance, another fascinating piece of information. ". )

I think you’re a genius! I have two blogs right now but with my two jobs I hardly have time to update my blogs. How do you maintain a steady flow of ideas for you blogs? Where do you get the inspiration?

I’m very particular with originality. So, I always make sure that I’d rather write nothing than copy and paste.

Wow, six blogs going? I feel like a total slacker now -- I don’t even really keep one up, though it’s mostly because I can never completely make up my mind as to what I really want to blog about. I suppose I could take the route of putting up several, but then that leaves me with my earlier statement -- I’m a bit of a slacker. And I’m certainly not capable of keeping a blog up in a language other than English, though I imagine it would do wonders for my French or Russian if I would. And though this site hasn’t yet been developed, I would imagine, based on reading your others, and seeing the design you’ve already got started, that this will be worth reading as well. Have you given any thought yet to what your focus will be?
